Congress leaders and workers organised grand celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of Rahul Gandhi taking over as the 16th President of All India Congress Committee.
Hyderabad: Congress leaders and workers organised grand celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of Rahul Gandhi taking over as the 16th President of All India Congress Committee.
Led by Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee (GHCC) Minorities Department Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, Congress workers celebrated the occasion at Gandhi Bhavan by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. Giant cut-outs of Rahul Gandhi were also erected around Gandhi Bhavan. Speaking to media persons later, Abdullah Sohail said that Rahul Gandhi's election as Congress president has rejuvenated the entire party and now large number of youth would join the Congress. He said all Congress workers would work hard to make Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of India.
TPCC General Secretary G. Niranjan, Spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
