Hyderabad : CPI (M) State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that as many 31 Left parties would join hands to form Bahujan Left Front to unitedly fight next elections.

Addressing the CPM's Maha Sabha in Khammam on Tuesday, Veerabhadram said that the Left parties have suffered setbacks in various parts of the country. However, by uniting all Left parties, the situation could be reversed. He said that there was a huge potential for the growth of Left parties in the changing political scenario.

Veerabhadram said that the Gujarat elections results have shown that BJP was losing its sheen. He said people of Gujarat have not supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the extent that they did in earlier elections. He said that BJP's tally got reduced to 99 from 116 in last elections. This shows that the BJP was rejected by the people.

He said that the CPI (M) would try to emerge as an alternate for both TRS and Congress. Therefore, he said that the Bahujan Left Front was being formed to contest from all 119 Assembly segments in Telangana. He said efforts were on to bring the CPI into the front. He said that the Bahujan Left Front would be formally launched on January 28.
