Hyderabad : The three-day international conference on Advanced Functional Materials organised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar, in Adilabad District, concluded here on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Vice Chancellor Dr A. Ashok said, "Today’s discussions are tomorrow’s discoveries. The deliberations held at the International Conference on Advanced Functional Materials, had set the tone and tenor for the future advancement of Advanced Functional Materials. About 200 delegates deliberated at the meet and predicted future course of the Functional Materials," said Dr. A. Ashok.

All the thrust areas - Catalysis, Green Chemistry, Natural Products, Nano Materials, Semi Conducting Materials, Sensors, Biomaterials, etc. and other proposed were discussed extensively covering basics to applications. Very interesting topics like TriboElectricity, RRAM Devices, Metal Nanoparticles were discussed. The deliberations of conference will see immediate social applications, Dr. Ashok said

The Convener of the meet Dr. Ravi Varala gave concluding remarks. The technical program was divided into 11 sessions. It contained 1 keynote address, 4 Plenary talks and 15 invited lectures.

The event saw a total of 200 participants many were from USA, UK, South Africa and many parts of India. Off which 30 made oral presentations of their research work, while 50 made poster presentations.
