Indian Science Congress at OU postponed
Osmania University in Hyderabad announced on Thursday that the 105th Indian Science Congress which was supposed to be held at the University has been postponed.
Osmania University in Hyderabad announced on Thursday that the 105th Indian Science Congress which was supposed to be held at the University has been postponed.
The Indian Science Congress is an annual event usually held in the first week of January and as per the plan, it was to be held at the Osmania University from January 3 to 7 next year.
In the website, the Indian Science Congress Association said that keeping in view the recent incidents on the campus, the University’s vice chancellor has expressed inability to host the event even though the preparations are completed.
Following a 20-year-old student’s suicide on campus this month, protests erupted causing a tense situation on the campus.
The University hopes the event would be held soon after holding discussions with the Indian Science Congress Association.
