Gala of events to mark Vajpayee’s 93rd birthday
The BJP Telangana state unit has organised a series of events as part of celebrating the 93rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
Hyderabad: The BJP Telangana state unit has organised a series of events as part of celebrating the 93rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
Marking the occasion, on Sunday, a blood donation camp was held at the Old MLA Quarters.
BJP Legislative Party Leader G Kishan Reddy, party state president Dr K Laxman and other senior leaders and party workers took part in it. Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy and Laxman recalled the services of the former Prime Minister, whose birthday was also celebrated as the ‘National Good Governance Day’. The inspiring and humanitarian vision of Vajpayee would always guide the country and the people, they noted.
At, Birla Planetarium, the party felicitated national and international sportspersons and lauded the efforts of the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in encouraging sports among youth through initiatives like 'Khel India'. Similar programmes are planned for December 25, by the party's Mahila Morcha and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and other organisations of the party.
