Hyderabad: Action was taken against two cops for their alleged misbehaviour while dealing the cases.

Gangi Reddy, Additional DCP, Madhapur, was transferred to City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters after his video in which he was kicking a short film director Yogi went viral. The Additional DCP was dealing with a complaint lodged by an upcoming actress, who claimed that Yogi was harassing her with abusive language. The woman complained to the SHE Teams on December 20 that Yogi had been sending obscene messages to her and her husband. Cyberabad, Deputy Commissioner of police, Viswa Prasad, declared Gangi Reddy's behaviour ‘uncalled for’ and reported the matter to Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya for action.

Meanwhile, Inspector T S Uma Maheswar was removed from Jawahar Nagar police station in Rachakonda police commissionerate and was directed to report to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) office.

He was sitting callously resting his foot on a bed, even as the wife of the murdered victim was writing her complaint. Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Mahesh Bhagawat, took serious view of his behaviour and got an enquiry carried out before initiating the action.
