Nearly 1,900 blankets were distributed to the homeless in several parts of the city.
Students from over 20 engineering, degree and medical colleges participated in the drive on Saturday and Sunday.
sweaters, scarves, caps, woollen garments and warm clothes were also distributed to the disabled and children on the streets as a part of the drive.
Students of CMR College of Engineering alone managed to distribute about 100 blankets to people at the ECIL bus depot, Moula Ali and helped over 50 homeless people.
