TPCC Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy says the ruling party has a long history of using derogatory language and should abstain first before criticising others

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Tuesday said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) should first inculcate some sense of ethics and values in their leaders and cadre before criticising others.

In a press release, the Congress leader said the TRS had a long history of using derogatory words against their political adversaries and should abstain from such practices before they preach values in public discourse to others.

Referring to the tweets by Minister K T Rama Rao condemning Congress leader Revanth Reddy for his comments on Minister Dr Laxma Reddy, Narayana Reddy said Rama Rao should first take notice of the language used by his ministerial colleague. The Congress leader said the language used by Dr Laxma Reddy was unacceptable and reprehensible.

He demanded that the Minister should be immediately dropped from the cabinet and that the Minister should apologise to Revanth Reddy in public. Also taking a dig at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the Congress leader said the people of Telangana are aware of the comments by the Chief Minister against JAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram.

The Congress leader criticised the TRS leadership for their derogatory comments on All India Congress Committee (AICC) former president Sonia Gandhi who was the sole reason for realising the long-cherished dream of a separate statehood for Telangana.
