GHMC to propose setting up of Swachh panels in schools
Stating that sanitation and cleanliness should start from school-level, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said that the city’s municipal body would propose for forming Swachh Committees in every school of the city.
Hyderabad: Stating that sanitation and cleanliness should start from school-level, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said that the city’s municipal body would propose for forming Swachh Committees in every school of the city.
He advised that Swachh Committees can be formed in every class and governing council for the same. This kind of arrangement would surely help in inculcating cleanliness etiquettes among students.
Addressing an event of a private educational institution in city on Wednesday, he said that municipal corporation would ask the government to issue a directive for Schools to have Swachh committees. He said that cleanliness and waste management were the challenges for Municipal Corporation every day. He asked the teachers to join the Swachhata mission of the Central and State governments.
