Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao directed the officials to complete the pending works of land acquisition for Kaleshwaram Project within four days.

The Minister on Wednesday reviewed the progress of land acquisition and construction of barrages and gates with senior officials in Jayshankar Bhupalpally district. Speaking on the occasion, he said all pending works pertaining to land acquisition should be completed within four days.

Further, he said the structural designs of barrages should be finalised by January 15. He asked the officials to expedite the works on Sandela, Medigadda and Annaraj barrages. He said the Sandela will have 74 gates, Annaram - 66 gates and Medigadda barrage will have 85 gates.

He said the gates should be erected as per scheduled. He told officials that he would visit the project sites again on January 17 to review the works.

Meanwhile, the Minister also inspected the works on Chinna Kaleshwaram Lift Scheme in Manthani Assembly segment. He asked the officials to complete the works by June 2018.
