Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiam Srihari said that the TRS Government was committed for the bifurcation of Scheduled Castes into A, B,C, and D categories, but the issue has to be settled by the Central Government.

Reacting to the allegations being made by the MRPS President Manda Krishna Madiga, Kadiam said that Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take an all party delegations. However, he said that the Prime Minister Office is not giving time. He said that the TRS Government would wait till the end of Parliament session on January 5 and then it would build pressure on the Central Government on SC bifurcation issue.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Friday, the Deputy CM alleged that Manda Krishna Madiga is moving with the leaders of BJP and Congress and accusing the TRS. He asked as to why the Congress party did not bifurcated the SCs while it was in power for 10 years. Now the BJP is in power at Center and despite making a promise of bifurcation of SCs in 100 days, they are keeping quiet. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has not even passed the resolution in the Assembly, while in Telangana, KCR has passed the resolution and sent it to the Center, he said

He said that the TRS Government was committed on the issue and said it would take everyone along to pressurise the Centre.
