Hyderabad: The Telangana four-wheeler drivers’ association has come up with a new concept for the citizen's safety. As many as 300 drivers will make their 300 cabs available under Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissionerate limits on December 31 night for a free ride.

As drink-driving cases are increasing in the city, Telangana four-wheeler drivers’ association has decided to take advantage of the opportunity by launching campaign called “Hum Aapka Saath Hai”.

State president of the association, Shaik Salauddin said, “ Hum Aapka Saath Hai campaign is meant to encourage people to enjoy this holiday season and be responsible. “We are delighted to be associated in using a novel way to deliver this message,” he said.

He further said, through this campaign, “We want to urge people to refrain from taking over the wheel when they are under the influence of alcohol. We want to encourage people to make the right choices when they have alternative options that are just affordable, and easily accessible.
