Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the TRS government was committed for the categorisation of SCs, but the issue has to be settled by the Central government. Reacting to the allegations being made by the MRPS President Manda Krishna Madiga, Srihari said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take an all-party delegation.

However, the Prime Minister Office was not giving time. He said the TRS government would wait till the end of Parliament session on January 5 and then it would build pressure on the Centre. Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Friday, the Deputy Chief Minister alleged that Manda Krishna Madiga along with leaders of BJP and Congress, have been accusing the TRS.

He asked as to why the Congress party did not categorise the SCs while it was in power for 10 years. Now, the BJP is in power at Centre and despite making a promise of categorisation of SCs in 100 days, they are keeping quiet. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has not even passed the resolution in the Assembly, while in Telangana, KCR had passed the resolution and sent it to the Centre, he said.
