HSPA raises a stink over Tirupathi report
The Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA) on Saturday staged a sit-in at the School Education Directorate here to protest against Prof Tirupathi Rao Committee report on fee regulation in private schools.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA) on Saturday staged a sit-in at the School Education Directorate here to protest against Prof Tirupathi Rao Committee report on fee regulation in private schools.
The HSPA leaders met Prof Tirupati Rao at Osmania University. He promised to meet the association leaders on Monday, according to HSPA leaders. The HSPA described the reported submitted by Prof Tirupati Rao Committee had left the parents stunned. The Committee report had been written in support of the contention made by the managements of private schools, it alleged.
A member of HSPA Ashish Naredi told The Hans India that the constitution of Prof Tirupati Rao Committee had raised expectations that better days were ahead. But the report turned out to be a damp squib. The parents were critical of the report which recommended 10 per cent hike in school fee every year.
