Hyderabad: Deputy floor leader of Congress in the State Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Saturday demanded that Chief Minister to hold an all-party meeting to discuss the report of Prof Tirupati Rao committee on school fee regulation.

Addressing the media here, Sudhakar Reddy found fault with the Tirupati Rao committee report. He said the report would not help in regulating the fee in the private schools. Out of the 12,000 private schools in the State, only 4,500 had submitted details regarding the revenue and expenditure. The State government should initiate criminal action against the managements of the schools which did not comply with the government’s orders.

He said the private schools had been violating regulations on fee structure, but no action was taken against them. He warned that if the government failed to take steps to regulate the fee in the private schools, the Congress party would launch agitation.
