Popular Telugu singer Ghazal Srinivas on Tuesday was arrested on charges of sexual harassment.

A woman, working as a jockey for a web radio 'Alayavani' (voice of temples) run by Save Temple Organisation filed a complaint against him.

His bail petition came to hearing today in Nampally court where Senior lawyer Uma Maheswara Rao presented on behalf of Ghazal Srinivas alleging that his client was arrested within half an hour without serving a notice and

was not given enough time to defend himself.

He further alleged that the attitude of the police towards the world famous singer was also not correct.

Meanwhile, the public prosecutor clarified that the singer was arrested based on concrete evidence.

Following this, the bail petition hearing has been postponed to Thursday.
