Road collision kills three, injures eight in Kothagudem

In a major road collision between a truck and two other vehicles, three persons lost their lives and eight others sustained severe injuries Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

The mishap took place between B Kothuru and Mondikunta villages where BSNL cables were being laid.

According to the reports, around 10 workers were unloading the cables from two vehicles on Wednesday when a speeding coal-laden lorry proceeding towards Sarapaka rammed into one of the vehicle from behind.

Two workers were killed on the spot after being hit by the lorry, the driver of the cable filled vehicle was crushed between the two vehicles resulting in immediate death.

All the three deceased were natives of Andhra Pradesh.

The injured workers are currently undergoing treatment at Bhadrachalam hospital.
