Woman disguised as domestic help pulls of dozen thefts, held in Hyderabad

A woman was arrested by the police on Friday for pulling off more than dozen robberies in the disguise of a domestic help.

The woman identified as Shanti alias Laxmi, a native of Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu used to approach people for work as a domestic help each time giving a fake name.

The police informed that the accused worked obediently for few days and targets old people in the house in the absence of others and robs them off gold and other valuables.

Police stated that Shanti was involved in 14 cases until now and have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh from her so far.
