Pargi: Transport Minister Mahender Reddy on Saturday took part in a string of development programmes in the town. He laid the foundation stone for the Rs 56-lakh RTC bus station expansion works. Besides, he laid the stone for the Red Gram Purchase Centre and launched the Mission Kakatiya works.

He said basic amenities have been created in 91 RTC depots at a cost of Rs 61 crore. He said the RTC would operate long-distance bus services to Mumbai and Srisailam by purchasing at least 1000 buses for the transport undertaking.

Efforts are under way to speed up expansion of the inter-state road network and panchayat roads. He announced to run one AC bus to Hyderabad from each district. He said that he would ensure that drinking water would be supplied to the people on time completing the Mission Bhagiratha works on time.

Local legislator Rama Mohan Reddy, Vikarabad District Collector Umar Zaleel and others took part in the development works.
