Colonies residents condemn lethargic attitude of officials

Malkajgiri: Members of various colonies including NMDC Colony, Shiridi Nagar Colony, Raja Nagar Colony, and Lakshmi Narasimha Nagar Colony protested near Banda Cheruvu in East Anandbagh on Tuesday stating that they are facing inconvenience due to lethargic attitude of the officials concerned.
They said having proper culvert and timely release of drainage canal would prevent drain water flow in the streets. They also said the issue has been taken to the notice of the local legislator. “The MLA who replied that he would visit the tank in two days didn’t stand by his assurance, they added.
The members urged the officials concerned to come to their aid and to divert the drainage. Hari Raju, Shyamala, Radha, Murthy, Deepa, Babu Singh, Shashidharan, Reddy, Shilpa, Lavanya, Srinivas, Radha Krishna, Bhaskar, Shanthanu, Jaya Krishna, Seetha Ram and Praveen were among those protested.
