Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari headed a cabinet meeting in Hyderabad in the attendance of Jharkhand Education Minister Niraja Yadav, Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Special Human Resources Development Department Special Secretary Rinarayi, Member Secretary Meenakshi Garg and other officials.

During the meeting, the Education Minister proposed to provide free education to promote girls education in the country.

He stated that the reforms were initiated to promote girls education in Telangana and the cabinet meeting was initiated to encourage girls and provide free plus compulsory education to the PG to promote girls' education.

Currently, a special education center for women has been established for degree courses for residential colleges, SCs and ST girls in Telangana which is to be soon implemented in all the states across the country.
