Workshop on cultivation estimates at PJTAU
A three day training program about the Farm.2 software has been commenced on Tuesday at Prof Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University.
Rajendernagar: A three day training program about the Farm.2 software has been commenced on Tuesday at Prof Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University.
The software is to calculate the cultivation estimates. The program was inaugurated by Research Director of the University Dr T Pradip. He said that ground level employees of the agriculture department play a vital role in deciding the MSP for crops.
He said that the data and details being made available by these employees helps in assessing the finances incurred by the farmers for crops in order to decide the MSP.
He opined that the quality inputs from ground level staff will help the farmers in the same way. Training was imparted to the 180 ground staff from four southern states by the higher officials of Economics and Statistics Directorate, Govt of India.
The data collected by the ground staff was calculated in the Farm.2 software and training for the same was given to the delegates. This software will be used to calculate the expenses incurred by farmers and for deciding the MSP until 2020, informed the training program organizers.
