Congress was never serious on BC welfare: TRS
TRS MLA Srinivas Goud has ridiculed the promises being made by the Congress party for the welfare of Backward Classes, especially Goud community.
Hyderabad : TRS MLA Srinivas Goud has ridiculed the promises being made by the Congress party for the welfare of Backward Classes, especially Goud community.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Srinivas Goud alleged that the Congress party was never serious with regard to welfare of BCs. He ridiculed the statement made by TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy promising socio-economic, educational and political empowerment of Goud community. He said that the Congress party did nothing for the welfare of Goud community while in power. He said it was only TRS which was seriously working for the welfare of all BC communities.
Srinivas Goud said that not a single Congress leader belonging to Goud community was elected as MLA in the last elections. Similarly, he said that the party never considered appointing a Goud leader as the PCC President. He alleged that the Congress party was making false promises in view of elections.
