The Department of Heritage Telangana is organizing the second international seminar on \"Telangana Though Ages: Perspectives from Early & Medieval Periods|\" on 19th and 20th January at Dr. MCHRDI, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. 

Hyderabad : The Department of Heritage Telangana is organizing the second international seminar on "Telangana Though Ages: Perspectives from Early & Medieval Periods|" on 19th and 20th January at Dr. MCHRDI, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

"The State of Telangana holds the unique position of being the youngest state in India and being one o f the oldest sites of human habitation in the country. The region is unique, as it has yielded prolific evidence in almost all cultural states of human history. Strategically located at the centre of the Indian sub-continent, the region has been a point of interaction of various cultures from the near and far.

This region was part and parcel of Maurya Empire and later on ruled by Satavahanas, Vishnukundins, Chalukas of Badami, Rastrakutas, Chalukyas of Kalyani and Kakatiyas, Bhamanis, Padma Nayakas, Qutub Shahi and Asafjahis ruled. During this period tremendous development took place in the fields of art and architecture," the Department of Heritage Telangana said in a press release today.

Tracing Telangana's historic roots in the fields of Art, Architecture, History Iconography is one of the foremost priorities of the Department of Heritage, Government of Telangana and keeping this goal in view the Department proposes to conduct International Seminar titled " Telangana Though Ages: Perspective from Early and Medieval periods. There would be 35 presentations on various topics.

Presenters from all over the country and other countries will present their research works during the course of two days. Besides presentations, there would be temporary exhibitions and book stalls at the venue.
