Rally launched to commemorate Rohith Vemula death anniversary

The Ambedkar Students' Association (ASA) has taken up a rally among several other events to mark the late research scholar Rohith Vemula's 'Shahadath Din’.

The Association launched a rally on Tuesday night followed by several cultural programmes.

ASA is also planning a rally inside the campus on Wednesday, Vemula's second death anniversary and is expecting people to turn up to pay tribute to the Dalit scholar who committed suicide on campus.

Sources claim that permission had not been sought for the rally but speakers who address the speakers had been granted permission to enter campus on Wednesday.
