Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that government was committed for the welfare of Brahmin community in the State.

Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that government was committed for the welfare of Brahmin community in the State.
On Sunday, the Minister participated as chief guest to a meeting organised by Videka Brahman Sangham and Archaka Sangham in Nalgonda. Addressing the gathering after releasing the Vilambi Telugu new year Panchangam, he informed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was the first person to identify the practical problems of Brahmins, and constituted Brahmin Parishad by allocating Rs 100 crore every year. He added the government was taking all measures to restore lost glory of Brahmins.
Reacting to comments of Sangham state president Banumurthy on functioning of Brahman Parishad, the Minister informed that along with Parishad Director Chakilam Anil Kumar he would discuss all the grievances with Chairman Ramana Chary for amicable solution.
After formation of Telangana, decision of TTD about shifting of Veda Patashala from Nalgonda has been withdrawn with his initiation and personnel assurances to officials concerned, he remembered.
He listed out various measures taken by the government for the welfare of Brahmins and priests of the temples in the State, including allocation of huge funds for the renovation of historic temples.
Stating that the government was paying attention to the welfare of all sections of the society and progress of the State, he urged the Brahmin community to bless the TRS in next elections too with their immense support.
Later, he participated in Vaddera Sangham meeting held in Nalgonda. Addressing the gathering, he said the government was aware of nomad communities, and has constituted a special corporation for the welfare and development of the members of Vaddera community.
