Mother, son beaten to death in Sangareddy

A man and his mother were allegedly beaten to death in Sangareddy district on late Sunday night.

The deceased, identified as Miryala Mallesham and his mother Pentamma were attacked by the former’s brother-in-law at Shivvampet village of Pulkal Mandal.

According to the police, Mallesham was married to Padma for 12 years, and the couple had three daughters.

However, since the past two years, the couple had been indulging in quarrels following which the family members suggested that they live separately till the issues were resolved.

While Padma was given a portion of the house, Mallesham, allegedly an alcoholic, reportedly locked the house on Sunday and refused the entry to Padma and his kids.

Srisailam, the younger brother of Padma, upset upon this came to the village and attacked Mallesham with a stick following an argument. When Mallesham’s mother intervened, Srisailam attacked her too in a fit of rage.

Both Mallesham and his mother died instantly.

A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
