The Telangana Congress leaders boycotted the customary At Home progrmame hosted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Hyderabad : The Telangana Congress leaders boycotted the customary At Home progrmame hosted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, his cabinet colleagues, legislators, Assembly Speaker S. Madhsudhan Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, former Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi and leaders of other political parties were among those who attended the function. However, Congress leaders did not attend the function taking their ongoing differences with the Governor to a new high.
The Congress leaders have been accusing the Governor of acting in a partisan manner. They reportedly had an argument over the issue of sand mafia, arrest of MRPS chief Krishna Madiga and other issues.
However, some senior leaders including Danam Nagender, who is reportedly planning to join TRS soon, attended the At Home function.
