To get rid of polio in the country and to build polio free healthy society the government has taken up massive ‘Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme’ said the Finance Minister Etala Rajender here on Sunday.
Karimnagar: To get rid of polio in the country and to build polio free healthy society the government has taken up massive ‘Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme’ said the Finance Minister Etala Rajender here on Sunday.
The Minister along with MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar inaugurated the Pulse Polio Immunisation programme here at Dhangarwadi Government High School in Karimnagar. Speaking on the occasion, the Finance Minister Etala Rajender said that even though single case of polio was not registered till date the government was organising the immunisation programme once in a six months as precautionary measure to get rid of polio permanently in the country.
Administering two drops of pulse polio drops to the children below five years of age will fully protect the child from the disease preventing disability in them. Every parent of children below five years of age must administer the polio drops to their children without fail by visiting to nearest health centre, suggested the Minister. The State government is taking several steps for building a healthy society in the State by introducing various types of welfare schemes.
