Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Sunday directed the officials to pay special focus on maintaining proper sanitation at Medaram during Sammakka Saralamma Jatara.

Medaram: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Sunday directed the officials to pay special focus on maintaining proper sanitation at Medaram during Sammakka Saralamma Jatara. He along with a host of TRS legislators, leaders and his family members visited Medaram and offered prayers to the tribal deities. Later, he interacted with the officials and reviewed the arrangements made for the conduct of the Jatara.

Srihari, accompanied by Bhupalpally in-charge District Collector RV Karnan, Joint Collector D Amoy Kumar, walking around the village visited bathing ghats at Jampanna stream and inspected the arrangements there.

He said ensuring sanitation should be the priority during the Jatara while interacting with the sanitation workers. The Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with the devotees at bathing ghats and Kalyanakatta to seeking their feedback on the arrangements at the village.

Speaking to presspersons on the occasion, Srihari said that he would be camping at Medaram during the night and would hold a review meeting with the District Officials regarding the measures to be taken for the smooth conduct of the Jatara.

ZP Chairperson G Padma, MPs A Seetaram Naik, P Dayakar, Balka Suman, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Vishweshwar Reddy, B B Patil, G Sukhender Reddy, Government whip P Rajeshwar Reddy, MLCs K Muralidhar Rao, P Ravinder, MLAs A Ramesh, K Surekha, Ch Dharma Reddy and others were participated in the programme.

MLA D Vinay Bhasker along with family members also visited Medaram and offered prayers. Earlier on the day, Kadiyam Srihari inaugurated a ‘Pulse Polio Vaccination’ camp at the village and administered vaccine to some children. The Collector Karnan informed that several camps were set up at the village to administer the vaccine for the below five years children of the visiting devotees.

One-way traffic rule enforced
Meanwhile, Bhupalpally Superintendent of Police (SP) R Bhaskaran in a statement informed that one-way flow of vehicular traffic would be in force from Sunday onwards to ensure smooth flow of the traffic.

The vehicles coming to Medaram from Warangal have to pass through Mulug, Pasra and Narlapur. On return journey they need to take the route through Narlapur, Bayyakkapet, Kamalapur cross, Bhupalpalli, Regonda, Parkal and Gupeppad to reach Warangal.

Vehicles from Godavarikhani, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Kaleshwaram, Kataram should reach Medaram via Bhupalpally, Mulug Ghanpur, Jangalapalli, Narlapur, on return journey they would pass through Narlapur, Bayyakkapet, Kamalapur cross, Kalvapalli Singaram, Pegadapalli and Chintakani to reach Kataram.

Vehicles from Mahabubabad would come via Narsampet, Mallampalli, Mulug, Pasra, Narlapur while returning they have to pass via Mulug, Pasra, Narlapur, Kamalapur cross, Bhupalpalli, Parkal, Gudeppad to reach Mallampalli for onward journey.

Vehicles from Chhattisgarh, Bhadrachalam, Manugur would reach Medaram through Eturnagaram, Chinaboinapalli, Kondai, Orattam and would take the same route for returning to their respective places, the SP said.
