Raising objections over the police investigation report, MLC Rajagopal Reddy alleged that the police, coming under the pressure of the ruling party leaders, were hiding the facts and diverting the public by stating that a petty quarrel led to the murder of Congress leader Srinivas.

Speaking to the media at Municipal Chairman Lakshmi’s house in Nalgonda on Sunday, Reddy criticized that the police became a protection force of the government instead for the common people. “If police have no courage to do justice to the victim, then Congress cadre is ready to guard the society in order to save democracy in the State,” he challenged.
The leader expressed doubts on police investigation and their efficiency in diluting the case with silly reasons. MLA Veeresham and TRS Nalgonda Constituency in-charge Bhoopal Reddy were behind the murder, he alleged.
The TRS leaders, who were afraid to face them (Congress) in Nalgonda, were resorting to murder politics to mar the confidence of their cadre, he stated.
The MLC warned the government of laying siege to Pragathi Bhavan with one lakh congress activists if justice is not done in Srinivas’ murder case. Stating that the fall of the TRS government will start from Nalgonda, he demanded CB CID enquiry into Srinivas’ murder case to know the facts.
