Anita Peter, founder of ‘Lasyadrutha’, center for performing arts, Hyderabad and student of Guru Sreedevi Unni, presented ‘Nrithya Samarpan’, a repertoire of eight-Mohiniyattam dances in the presence of classical dance lovers in Hyderabad at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Auditorium.

Anita Peter, founder of ‘Lasyadrutha’, center for performing arts, Hyderabad and student of Guru Sreedevi Unni, presented ‘Nrithya Samarpan’, a repertoire of eight-Mohiniyattam dances in the presence of classical dance lovers in Hyderabad at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Auditorium.

Anita in her repertoire presented Mukhachalam, Entharo Mahanbhavulu – Tyagaraja Kriti, Dhani Samajendra Gamini – Varnam, Ashtapathy, Alarshara Parithapam – Padam, Thillana, and Mangalam. This splendid performance was a treat to watch.

Accompanied by a five-member live orchestra team comprising vocals by Vidwan Sudev Warrier, Chennai, Mridangam by Vidwan Narayanaswamy, Chennai, Flute by Vidwan Rammohan Annandanam, Hyderabad, Veena by Vidwan Sai Prasad Raju, Hyderabad and Edakka by Vidwan Achutanandan Marar, Kannur the event was a grand success.

On the occasion, Anita said “It is my proud privilege to have presented this repertoire in the presence of distinguished guests who are well-wishers of classical dance and art. One of the objectives of presenting Nrithya Samparpan is to promote our rich classical traditions and diversity.

Mohiniyattam is the platform I chose since I have learned it and Lasyadrutha was founded with the intention of promoting and teaching classical dance, music, and art in Hyderabad. I am thankful to my Guru Sreedevi Unni for bestowing me the confidence in pursuing this further,”
