Legislator Puvvada Ajay Kumar has suggested the students to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and work towards the nation’s growth.  The 70th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was observed on a grand note under Vibrants of Kalam Organisation here on the premises of New Vision High School in Khammam on Tuesday.

Khammam: Legislator Puvvada Ajay Kumar has suggested the students to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and work towards the nation’s growth. The 70th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was observed on a grand note under Vibrants of Kalam Organisation here on the premises of New Vision High School in Khammam on Tuesday.

The students on the occasion exhibited a 70-feet-long national flag besides observing a two-minute silence. Around 1,000 students paid their tributes to the Father of the Nation besides staging a 70- minute ‘Sathyagraha Deeksha’.

Taking part in the programme, MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar said Mahatma Gandhi was a great freedom fighter, who sacrificed his life and fought for the nation until his last breath. “The students must take him as an inspiration and play a key role in protecting national integrity,” he advised. Founder president of Vibrants of Kalam Organisation Vijay Kalam advised the students to strive hard for developing the nation on all fronts.

District Educational Officer Vasanti, New Vision Educational Institutions Chairman CH GK Prasad, Director CH Gopichand, Principal Abad Ali, representatives of Vibrants of Kalam Organisation Srinu, Ravi Teja, Saida Rao, Nageshwar Rao, Vinay, Mohan Rao, Vijay Chowdari, Rama Krishna, Saidulu, Harsha and Naga Raju were present along with others.
