Hyderabad : Reacting on the Union Buget 2018-19 presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament today, State Finance Minister Etela Rajender said that the Central Government has focussed on Agriculture, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, Medical Education, Health Sector, Irrigation, Safe drinking water for all households and all these schemes are already in implementation in Telangana State. Therefore, he said Union Budget was on line of Telangana's schemes.

However, Etela did not clearly stated whether the budget was good, bad or normal. He said earmarking over Rs. 11 lakh crores in the total budget of over Rs. 24 lakh crore for the agriculture sector and rural development was the good indication and it might benefit Telangana as its major population lives in rural areas.

He said that Telangana Government has already taken up various scheme for the welfare of farmers and growth of rural economy. He said top priority has been given to agriculture, distribution of sheep, buffalos, encouraging fisheries production, irrigation projects, etc., He said Mission Bhagiratha is meant to provide safe drinking water to each and every house. He said he was happy over Central Government increasing the health reimbursement to poor upto Rs. 5 lakh from the present Rs. 30,000 to nearly 50 crore population. He said the State Government proposes to establish three Medical Colleges and it now expects to get Central funds for the same.
