Hyderabad: Cricket betting racket busted, two held

Two cricket betting organizers have been arrested by the Hyderabad Task Force who also seized Rs 2 lakh from them on Friday.

The accused, Rajesh Singh of Asif Nagar and Lal Chand Agarwal of Attapur accepted cricket bets from unknown punters directly and also over mobile phones.

Diaries with details of the betting were also seized from them along with other material.

The duo was nabbed while collecting bets on a Big Bash League cricket match between Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers teams at Adelaide in Australia.

Further action will be taken against the two who were handed over to the Asif Nagar police.
