Hyderabad: Finance Minister Etala Rajender launched “Telangana e-Learning Application Management System” (TEAMS) at Dr. MCR HRD Institute here on Friday.

Chief Secretary to Government and Dr. MCRHRD Institute Director General B. P. Acharya said that, to start with, the e-Learning Module on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with Telangana context is available, in both Telugu and English languages, on the Institute’s eLearning portal, that is, “Telangana e-Learning Application Management System” (TEAMS).

Acharya said that the Institute has got ambitious plans to develop e-Learning modules in different domain areas in the future and make them available on TEAMS in order to bring training within the easy reach of Government employees, which is the focus of the National Policy of Training. “Reorganisation of the State in 31 districts calls for training of employees on a continuous basis and extensive use of information and communication technology to reach out to the large number of employees is the pressing need of the hour”, he stated.

Acharya added that the Institute is in the process of developing e-Learning modules on SDGs, with national perspective, which will be shared with NITI Aayog/Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India to be used for creating wider awareness about SDGs, across the country.

He further informed that the Institute has trained over 9000 employees on DoPT e-Learning Module –COMMIT, and has received sanction of another 9000 for the year 2017-18.

Advisor to Government (Finance) Dr. G R Reddy, Principal Secretary (Finance) K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior functionaries of Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana were present on the occasion.
