Hyderabad: The Telangana Teachers Federation (TTF) General Secretary E Raghunandan demanded the State government to scrap the appointments made by the District Education Officer (DEO) of Kamareddy.

In a press release here on Friday, he said the DEO appointed District Science Officer (DSO), Nodal Officer and Assistance Commissioner for Examinations (ACE) without consulting the senior and experienced. E Raghunandan alleged that the appointments were made to protect the vested interest of the 'business teachers' engaged in their private businesses. Also, such people are resorting to absenteeism in the schools to continue their business.

In turn, such people have been providing inducement to the DEOs. When the issue of Kamareddy had been brought to the notice of the District Collector, the officials from the District Education Department submitted false reports to mislead the District Collector, he pointed out. Earlier, despite several representations given, the DEO Kamareddy did not take any action, he said.

It was against this backdrop that the TTF State General Secretary sought the intervention of the State government to scrap the appointments made to save the schools from the culture of business teachers.
