Youth gears up to empower villages
A group of students from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology organised TEDxVNRVJIET Salon programme with theme \'Empowering Villages\' at Phoenix Arena on Friday. A diverse group of people, ranging from NGOs, doctors to journalists, social workers and NSS volunteers attended the programme
Hyderabad: A group of students from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology organised TEDxVNRVJIET Salon programme with theme 'Empowering Villages' at Phoenix Arena on Friday. A diverse group of people, ranging from NGOs, doctors to journalists, social workers and NSS volunteers attended the programme. The major problems and issues plaguing the education and healthcare system were discussed and possible solutions were explored.
The consensus was that ‘nature-inspired education’, the way forward for humanity which is increasingly finding itself in conflict with nature. Affordable healthcare and effective awareness programs are the way forward for rural healthcare in the future. People coming from different fields of expertise including Dr V Singh from Ramdev Rao Hospital, Executive Producer at TeluguOne channel Rama Iragavarapu, News Editor of The Hans India Dr G Bala Krishna, Srinivas Alluri of Manavata foundation, Social activist D Bala Prasad, NSS activists Omkar and Manoj took part in the programme.
