Three persons killed in lorry-car collision near Kothagudem

Three persons were killed and another sustained serious injury in a road accident after a lorry crashed into a car near Kothagudem area on Monday.

The incident took place around 12 am near Kothaguda X Road when a heavily loaded lorry carrying sticks rammed into a car carrying six passengers.

The vehicle was travelling from Pochampally village from Hyderabad.

According to the details, three members died on the spot while others were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Padma, Swapna and Manikanth.

While the reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, the lorry driver is said to be absconding.

A case has been registered and the police are in search of the lorry driver.
