Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bagged two awards of ASRTU (Association of State Road Transport Undertakings) for productivity including highest kmpl of 5.51 for mofussil services in the category of State Transport undertakings with a fleet of 7,500 and award for maximum improvement in vehicle productivity from 238.27 to 318.27 km/vehicle/day.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bagged two awards of ASRTU (Association of State Road Transport Undertakings) for productivity including highest kmpl of 5.51 for mofussil services in the category of State Transport undertakings with a fleet of 7,500 and award for maximum improvement in vehicle productivity from 238.27 to 318.27 km/vehicle/day.

TSRTC MD G V Ramana Rao received the award from Union Road Transport and Highways Secretary Yudhvir Singh Malik at Constitution Club of India in New Delhi. The RTC MD said the record kmpl achieved had resulted in saving of 10.69 lakh liters of HSD (high speed diesel) oil to the tune of Rs 6.86 crores in the last two years. Out of the 67 Mofussil depots, 54 depots are marching forward with more than 5.5 kmpl.

The MD said after its inception, since the formation of Telangana, TSRTC won the fuel efficiency awards for three consecutive years besides winning an award of highest improvement in productivity for the year 2016-17. All the above milestones and accolades were only possible due to the highest level of commitment, dedication; team work among the staff right from the highest level of officers to the ground level maintenance staff.
