Hyderabad: Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi has asked his party cadre to work for uprooting Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress from Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion of 60th foundation day of MIM at party headquarters here on Friday, Asaduddin Owaisi said that both the parties were two sides of the same coin. “We have to increase the number of legislators of our party in the coming days and ensure that it grows across the state,” he said.

With respect to Holi, Owaisi said, “While people play Holi today, you all should go peacefully for Friday prayers. This is the colour of India. Saffron isn't the only colour of India. Saffron, white, green all together are colours of India.”

During his 40-minute speech, he criticized the ruling BJP at the Centre and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to take action against the corrupt and is letting them flee with the public money.

He wanted to know as to why central government failed to take action against the scamsters who fled the nation. Owaisi discussed the national, state politics and local issues at length and said that party had the sixty years of hard work, public support and prayers.

Stating that people of the country would not trust BJP and the Congress anymore, he said that both the parties will not win in Telangana. He vowed that BJP will lose its Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat in the next elections.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, he said that not a single leader of Congress in Parliament spoke about issues of minorities and discussions were on about Triple Talaq and they wanted to come to power in Telangana. How people will believe them, he asked.

Calling Congress a ‘Janadharu’ party, he reiterated that his party would contest in Karnataka assembly elections too. Hundreds of party workers, MLAs, and other party leaders attended the foundation day event.
