Kothagudem/Raipur: The CPI (Maoist) activists went on rampage on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border on Monday night killing a youth and torching several buses and lorries sending security forces into a tizzy. They have burnt three RTC buses, besides setting fire to many private buses and lorries. Reports say that over 100 Maoists took part in the attack.
In an apparent retaliatory action to the killing of 10 Maoists in an encounter recently, the Maoists might have resorted to the burning of the buses. The incident prompted the Bhadrachalam sub-division police to beef up security and intensify vehicle-checking operations along the border.
