Hyderabad : More than 96% candidates of first year intermediate appeared for their exam held across Telangana State on Thursday by the Board of Intermediate Education.

Of 378,734 registered candidates, as many as 364,428 appeared for the Maths - IB, Zoology, History - Paper I. A total of 14,305 or 3.77% abstained from it.

A total of 26 cases of malpractice were booked which include 7 cases from Mahabubnagar, four cases each from Jayashanker (Bhoopalpalli) and Nalgonda, three from Nizamabad, two each from Warangal (Rural) and Khammam and one each from Adilabad, Mancherial, Jagtial and Rajanna (Sircilla).

Observers from Board were sent to Mahabubnagar, Yadadri, Siddipet, Rajanna-Sircilla, Warangal (Urban & Rural), Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad Districts. Except above 26 malpractice cases, examinations have been conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents.
