Police take scores of activists into custody as Telangana gears up for 'Million March'
With Joint Action Committee (JAC) preparing to stage the ‘Million March’ on Saturday to address the failures of the TRS government, scores of activists were taken into preventive custody across Telangana.

Hyderabad police have denied permission for the rally and a total of 6,000 police personnel have been deployed across the state.

Kodandaram who announced the march adding that it would be held defying the police received support from the Left parties.
Special police forces have also been deployed at the Osmania University. Previously, the Million March was held on March 10, 2011 demanding a separate Telangana.
