Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Prof Kodandaram on Saturday was arrested near his residence in Tarnaka, Hyderabad.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) was all set to stage the ‘Million March’ on Saturday to address the failures of the TRS government. However, with the Hyderabad police denying permission for the rally, scores of activists were taken into preventive custody across Telangana.

Kodandaram who announced the march was arrested when he was all set to join the programme coinciding with the ‘Million March’.

A tense situation arose when the TJAC activists obstructed the police when they tried to take Prof. Kodandaram into custody and the activists who obstructed the police were also arrested near his residence.
