Congress falter in attempt to question Chairman’s eye injury

Congress party is garnering immense scrutiny following their protest during Governor ESL Narasimhan’s joint address to the State Legislature on Monday where TRS Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud was injured after Congress legislator Komitareddy Venkat Reddy hurled a microphone at him.

A Congress worker attempted to question the injury after a Telugu TV channel’s screenshot showing the plaster on Goud’s left eye when the injury was caused to the right eye.

The images of the council chairman and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were telecast side by side by the television channel, ABN Andhra Jyothi. However, the image of Swamy Goud had been flipped making it appear as if he suffered the injury on his left eye.

With the screenshot going viral on social media, a Congress leader took the screenshot of ABN Andhra Jyothi and posted it along with an image of another channel showing the injury on different eyes.

He even posted a comment - ‘Which eye of yours has suffered injury, M Chairman?’ that didn’t go down well with social media users. The Channel later clarified that the picture was flipped ‘inadvertently,’ further asserting that Goud had indeed suffered an injury on the right eye.
