The final year degree student again made into headline, this time Anand conquered Mount Kosciuszko and unfurled the Tricolour atop it.

Mount Kosciuszko is Australia's highest mountain, at 2,228 metres (7,310 ft) above sea level. Anand conquered the summit of Mount Kosciuszko along with six other Telugu climbers on Wednesday, after three days of expedition.

Anand, a son of a cycle mechanic from Khammam district, had tough time in convincing his parents for this expedition.

The passionate mountaineer is planning next to South America to scale Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain outside Asia, It is located in the Andes mountain range. His dream is to become IPS office, apart from scaling mountains.
