HC seeks original footage of ruckus in Assembly

Hyderabad : The Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the Telangana Government and State Legislature Secretary to submit original footage of proceedings of the joint session of legislature held on March 12. It asked the government to submit the footage by March 22 in a sealed cover.

The High Court issued the directions while dealing with a petition filed by expelled Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkatreddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar against their expulsion from the State Assembly. The court also asked the government and Legislature Secretary to file counters within a week in this regard. It also asked the Election Commission to express its opinion on imposing stay for a week on issuing election notification.
