Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party has not taken any decision on having electoral alliances with other parties.

Addressing a press confernce in Huzurnagar on Thursday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the decision on alliances would be taken at an approprite time by the Congress High Command.

Earlier, Uttam Kumar Reddy participated in a party programme in Narsaiahgudem of Meruducherla mandal of Huzurnagar assembly constituency in Suryapet district. He hoisted the party flag and welcomed hundreds of activists who joined the Congress from other parties. Speaking on the occasion, Utam Kumar Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did not fulfil a single major promise that he made in 2014 elections. He said that the TRS Government has suspended all members of the Congress party from both Assembly and Council only to prevent them from exposing its failures. He said two Congress MLAs were expelled illegally in an unconstitutional manner. He described the suspension and expulsion of Congress legislators as an insult for entire population of Telangana.

The TPCC chief also slammed Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary for the role that he played in expelling and suspending Congress members. He said that the Speaker did not act for the last four years on Disqualification Petitions filed against legislators who defected to ruling TRS. But the Speaker took no time in announcing the expulsion of two Congress MLAs for an incident that did not occur at all, he said adding that people have been watching the unethical moves of KCR and TRS Government functionaries and they were eagerly waiting to throw them out of power in next elections.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS got only 33% votes in last elections. It meant that nearly 67% of people had voted against TRS. Since TRS had got simple majority by winning 61 seats, it formed the government. However, KCR broke all democratic norms and strengthened his position by encouraging defections. He said KCR indulged only in dirty and cheap politics during the last four years and never focussed on people's welfare.

He said that the fake claims of welfare of various sections of the society would not help KCR as the common people were fully aware of the reality. He said that the weaker sections who dreamt of getting double bed room houses, Muslims and STs who expected 12% reservation in jobs and educations and poor Dalit families who believed that they would be getting three acres of land themselves would expose the cheating done by KCR Government.

The TPCC Chief also listed out various measures that the Congress party proposes to implement when it is voted to power in 2019 elections.

Later, Uttam Kumar Reddy reviewed the applications for Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme in Huzurnagar Mandal Parishad office. He also participated in various other programmes in Huzurnagar constituency.
