Principal, teacher involved in helping students with answer slips in SSC exam hall; held

A group of teachers in Jagitial district were found supplying answer slips to students. Police have taken a government school principal and a teacher into custody after they were involved in helping students taking the Mathematics paper-II SSC examination at Kodimyal mandal.

The police informed that about seven teachers including three women were supplying answer slips to their students in Kodimyal government high school. It is learned that the teachers got the question paper through WhatsApp and were supplying answer slips from a small room beside the exam centre.

Based on a tip-off, a police official visited the centre and even recorded the entire episode. However, he was attacked as he was in plainclothes. The school principal Satyanarayana Goud allegedly pushed him out of the room. While others managed to escape, Satyanarayana Goud and another teacher Ramesh were taken into custody.

The investigation has begun behind the source of supply of question papers to the teachers.
